Welcome to Greg Harley's Miksang photo gallery. These photographs were taken during and after several Miksang workshops held in Boise, Idaho in 2003 and 2004. Miksang is a form of "contemplative" photography wherein the intent is to let go of our learned tendency to label and categorize everything we see and just be aware of the colors and textures we encounter. As with any form of photography, technical excellence is something to strive for but, as can be seen here, is sometimes secondary to the "flash of perception."
